Fireheart eBook Giulietta Maria Spudich

The story was not fleshed out enough and the characters were underdeveloped. George, the dragon, wasn't given any real character...I liked him but didn't feel as though I knew him. The relationship between the girl and the dragon was odd and more a dependency than a loving one. I just didn't feel satisfied with this story. The story line is a good one but was never able to lose myself in it. The ending was too abrupt.

Fireheart eBook Giulietta Maria Spudich Reviews

In Fireheart, I was transported to the very well-described world of Belearth in order to follow the main character, Ariana, and George, the dragon chained to her, in their quest to transport a secret object for Ariana's band of six other woods-dwelling outcasts. Like most eighteen year old girls, Ariana has a love interest, but unlike most other eighteen year old girls, she also has a dragon attached to her, a secret experience with mystical beings, a past that she can't remember, and many other qualities that made Fireheart a page-turner. I definitely would recommend this book for anyone who likes dragons, fantasy, YA, or just a good story.
Took me 4 nights to read. That means this book kept my attention extremely well. Couldn't wait to get back to this one each night...whenever the kids finally went to sleep.
Cool concept for a book a young girl, Ariana, has been chained to a dragon since she was little--but doesn't remember why. After being sent on an important mission by and elder, high in the mountains, her dragon finds a mate. Yikes. Talk about an uncomfortable situation. That's when Ariana (Ari) meets up with the mythical Light People, who help her, but inadvertently end up setting off a twisted chain of events. When her dragon's mate is captured, Ari and her friends must set off on one seriously dangerous rescue mission.
Loved being transported to another land for this romance with some interesting, magical twists. Time well spent! Treat yourself to this book
Fireheart. Draws you into the fire. Dragon lore. Witches curse. A little juvenile delinquent. What other than adventure can you have? CMc
I don't really know why this story enchanted me. It took the mythical Dragon story to another level. Mythical stories with true undertones.
The book opens with an innocent country girl chained to a dragon. It ends with her dragonless, a fugitive on the run. In between we learn her story and see her grow into a responsible, caring woman. I felt short-changed only because I had been left hanging.

The author creates a fantasy world with fantastic creatures, relatable characters and a heinous villain. Unfortunately the novelette was all too short. I wanted t know more about them all, even the dragons and will look for a sequel.
The story of the girl who is chained to a dragon, a good idea but execution is so so.... I did not care much for the main character, she seemed very shallow and unlikeable. It was definitely a YA book, if you are a teenager and like dragons and magic then this may be your kind of book, however it was not one of my favorites.
The story was not fleshed out enough and the characters were underdeveloped. George, the dragon, wasn't given any real character...I liked him but didn't feel as though I knew him. The relationship between the girl and the dragon was odd and more a dependency than a loving one. I just didn't feel satisfied with this story.
